JULIAN; 'why we ditched Godrich'
The strokes pulled the plug on sessions with
RADIOHEAD producer Nigel Godrich because
his recordings for thier long-awaited second
album were too 'CLEAN'. According to
frontman J.C. Jules: "When we try to do it
super-clean, it doesn't sound like us. It's
boring if it's not filthy." The new album is
influenced by underground heroes SONIC
YOUTH. One songg on the album
'Supernova', which has been mooted as the
comeback single, is particulary reminiscent.
Jules; I'm totally ripping them off,"he joked.
